WELCOME TO NEW YORK
Whether you’re coming from across town or out of town, we’re grateful you’re making the trip.
GETTING HERE
-
New York is served by three major airports: LaGuardia (LGA), John F. Kennedy (JFK), and Newark (EWR).
The best airport is the one with the easiest direct flight. Once you land, taxis and Ubers are usually the simplest with luggage. Trains are also available from JFK and Newark if you’re traveling light.
-
New York is wonderfully train-friendly.
Penn Station is the main arrival point for Amtrak, NJ Transit, and the Long Island Rail Road. Grand Central Terminal serves Metro-North and some Long Island Rail Road routes. From either station, Chelsea is a short taxi or subway ride away.
-
Driving into New York is possible, but we recommend planning your route and parking in advance. Once you arrive, taxis, subways, and walking are usually the easiest ways to get around.

GETTING AROUND
-
The closest subway stops to Chelsea Piers are:
23rd Street on the C/E at 8th Avenue (10 minute walk)
23rd Street on the 1 at 7th Avenue (12 minute walk)
From there, walk west toward the river and make a left.
-
Enter “Current, Pier 59, Chelsea Piers” as your destination. “Chelsea Piers” alone can send a driver into a small West Side odyssey.
-
Chelsea Piers is farther west than it looks on a map, so leave a little extra time.
-
Charming in theory. Fabulous for brave New Yorkers. Perhaps less ideal in formalwear.
PARKING
Complimentary parking is available at the wedding venue, Chelsea Piers. If you are planning to drive, please let us know in advance so we can share additional parking and valet details.
